'Ugly Betty' parts with her braces

One of the most pivotal moments in Betty's (America Ferrera) life is coming, and it's not just the series' finale.  According to Entertainment Weekly , this ABC comedy will be getting a guest star who will play an essential role in the story. Now, if you've read the title of the article, you'd have guessed it right away.  If you didn't, we'll tell you anyway.  Stage and screen actress Kathy Najimy has bagged the role of orthodontist on Ugly Betty , and she'll be the one removing the braces of our metal-mouthed heroine.

Wearing braces need not be the tramatic event it was years ago. It's no longer necesary to wear metal brackets and wires.
